Austin-Bergstrom International Airport is located in Austin, Texas, approximately 5 miles southeast of downtown Austin. The airport has two terminals, the Barbara Jordan Terminal, with two main levels and a mezzanine and the South Terminal used by low-cost carriers Allegiant Airlines and VIA Air only.

  • The lower level serves arrivals and offers ground transportation while the upper level is ticketing, check-in, and gates.
  • At the center of the gateway is Gate 10, Gates 9-1 are to the left and Gates 11-25 are to the right.
  • The Market Place on the upper-level houses restaurants, shops, and a live music stage.
  • Free Boingo internet kiosks are available near Gates 5, 8, and 12, and in the baggage claim area next to the Visitor Center.

Getting into Austin

Bus or taxi

Bus

The 100 MetroAirport bus provides direct service to downtown Austin. Buses depart every 30 minutes on the hour and half-past. Total journey time is approximately 20-30 minutes. The fare is USD 1.75 and exact change is needed. Bus passes can also be purchased via the Capital Metro app. You can also take the 350 Airport Blvd. bus that connects the airport to north Austin.

Taxi

Taxis are available outside the lower level of the airport. Minimum fare is USD 12.10, including airport surcharge. The approximate cost is USD 26, depending on your destination. Credit card payments are accepted. Lyft and Uber networks serve the Austin metropolitan area, including the airport.

PowerPort computer stations

PowerPort computer stations are available on the concourse, providing internet access, battery and cell phone chargers, USB ports, and printing.

Main Terminal, airside, upper level, across from gate 6 and between gates 15 and 17

Wireless recharging of mobile devices are also available at new seating. Each of the new 3-seat arrangements share USB power outputs and Duracell Powermats.
