Getting around the airport

1 Main Terminal, 1 Satellite Terminal

Athens International Airport is located 33km southeast of Athens. The passenger complex consists of two terminals: the Main Terminal and a Satellite Terminal.

The terminals are connected by an underground tunnel with moving walkways. All passengers enter and exit from the Main Terminal Building.
The Arrivals level, with the Baggage Reclaim Hall, is on the ground floor and the Departures level, with the Check-in Hall for all flights, is on the first floor.
There are several shops and food units throughout the terminals, including restaurants above the central Food Court area with a runway view from the second floor of the Main Terminal Building.

Getting into town

Metro, suburban rail, buses and taxi

Metro
The airport is accessible via Metro Line 3 'Aghia Marina - Athens International Airport'. The station is adjacent to the Main Terminal, accessible by an elevated walkway. Metro trains run every 30 minutes from 06:30-23:30 daily and the journey to Syntagma station takes 40 minutes. A single flat fare for trips via Buses, Trolley Buses, Line 1, 2 and 3 of METPO, Tramway and Suburban Railway is EUR 1,40 and is valid for 90 minutes. 

Suburban Railway 
Athens International Airport is connected via the Suburban Rail with: Athens Central Railway Station (Larissis Station), Port of Pireaus, and Kiato. The suburban railway departs every 15-25 minutes.

24-hour Express Bus Services
Four bus routes connect directly Athens and Piraeus with the airport. The X95 connects directly to Syntagma Square in Athens city centre and takes approximately 60 minutes. Other routes are the X93 to Kifissos KTEL Station (65 minutes), X96 to Piraeus (90 minutes), and X97 to Eliniko Metro Station (45 minutes). Tickets cost EUR 6.  All buses set down passengers at the Departures Level and depart from the Arrivals Level, between Exits 4 and 5.

Regional buses

Five regional buses operate at the airport. 

Location: Departure at Main Terminal, before security, arrivals level, between exits 2 and 3, opposite the Airport Hotel (Sofitel)

Taxi

Metered taxis are available at the designated taxi waiting area. Day time flat fares (05:00-00:00) are EUR 38 to the city centre inner ring. Night time fare is EUR 54. Please note that the charge is determined by the time of arrival at the destination and is inclusive of all surcharges and extras.

Parking

Park In the Airport

SHORT TERM PARKING (P1 & P2)
Only 1-2 minute walk to the Terminal Building. Free of charge for up to 20 minutes. For significant discounts, pre-book your parking space.
Location: Arrivals Level, across the Terminal building

LONG TERM PARKING (P3)
Walk within 5 minutes  to the Terminal building via the the pedestrian bridge or take the free shuttle bus Transfer time: 5-6 minutes, for significant discounts, pre-book your parking space.
Location: Across the airport's main access road (Attiki Odos motorway)
Hours: 24, for assistance press the information button at all auto pay stations or entry/exit control units.

P3 HOLIDAY
Lowest prices! Offered only through e-Parking.
Use the Shuttle Bus free of charge. Transfer time: approximately 8-10 minutes.
Location: follow the signs for Long Term Parking P3 and enter the parking lot P3 Holiday following the orange signage

EXECUTIVE VALET PARKING
For premium car parking services, drive your car to the Departures Level (Entrance 3, Valet booth), hand over the car keys to our trained personnel and the car will be delivered back to you at the same location on the exact date and time you specify!
Car wash service is available.

MOTORCYCLES PARKING AREA
Limited space for free parking of motorcycles is available.

AIRPORT - PORT OF PIRAEUS
By metro
Use Metro line 3 from the Athens International Airport and change at Monastiraki to Metro line 1. Estimated journey time is 60 minutes.

By bus
Use Route X96 Piraeus - Athens International Airport.

AIRPORT - PORT OF RAFINA
Take the direct Regional Bus Service (KTEL). The line departs from the Arrivals Level, opposite the airport hotel (Sofitel).

Take the Regional Bus Service (KTEL). The line departs from the Arrivals Level, opposite the airport hotel (Sofitel). Change bus at Markopoulo.
