Getting around the airport

4 terminals connected by shuttle buses and moving walkways

Logan International Airport is located in East Boston, approximately three miles outside of downtown Boston. The airport has four terminals: A, B, C, and E:

  • Terminal A has a main terminal building (Gates A1-A11) and a satellite building (Gates A13-A22) connected through an underground walkway.

  • Terminal B is divided into North (Gates B20-B38) and South (Gates B1-B19) buildings. The North side has a security check specifically for United Airways flights.

  • Terminal C houses Gates C8-C42. This terminal serves airlines such as Aer Lingus and TAP Air Portugal and is home to the airport's chapel, Our Lady of the Airways.

  • Terminal E houses Gates E1-E12 and is dedicated to International Arrivals.

In all terminals, Level 1 is for ground transportation, baggage claim and Arrivals and Level 2 is for ticketing and Departures.

Transferring between the terminals

All terminals are connected by landside shuttle buses and the SL1 branch of the Silver Line (Bus Rapid Transit). Terminals A, B, and E are connected by landside moving walkways. The walking time to Terminal A is 5-7 minutes (via Level 3 bridge); walking time to Terminal B is 7-10 minutes (via Terminal C walkway on Level 2); walking time to Terminal C is 2-5 minutes (keep left and follow the signs).
