Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is 5km miles south-east of downtown Phoenix. The airport has three terminals: Terminals 2, 3 and 4.
Getting between terminals
Valley Metro City bus route 13 travels between 75th Ave/Buckeye Rd and the airport. Bus routes 1 and 44 stop at the 44th Street/Washington Valley Metro Rail station, which is connected to the airport via PHX Sky Train. One ride costs USD 2.

Metro Light Rail
Light rail passes can be purchased at the 44th Street station for USD 2. Journey time depends on final destination.

Taxis are available 24 hours a day all terminals. Only Apache Taxi, AAA/Yellow Cab, and Mayflower Cab are authorised to pick up passengers at the airport. Rates are charged according to the meter but a journey downtown costs approximately USD 25, depending on traffic. Journey time is 15 minutes.

PHX Airport has USB ports that can be accessed by following the ‘Get Plugged In’ signs. Work stations with 36 sets of chairs and tables (with outlets and USB ports) are available at all three terminal lobbies.

The Club at PHX
The Club at PHX is a pay-in lounge for travellers. There are telephones, Wi-Fi access, and complimentary snacks and alcoholic beverages. A day pass is USD 35.

It can be hard to find good quality coffee in airports. Luckily the Cartel Coffee Lab has got you covered at Phoenix airport. It offers the full range of contemporary coffees, including pour-over and aeropress flavors.

Chelsea’s Kitchen serves traditional American food and brunch. For a light pre-flight meal, try the kale salad with short rib tacos that you assemble to your tastes.

There are not showers available at PHX airport.
Cowboy Ciao serves new American fare such as open-faced sandwiches and truffle mac and cheese.
Terminal 4, after security, level 3, Concourse B
The onsite car rental companies operate within a facility located just south of the airport complex.
The shuttle runs continuously (approximately every 5-10 minutes) between the airport and the Rental Car Center, stopping to retrieve passengers at the baggage claim level of every terminal. Reservations are highly recommended.
Four play areas are fitted with padded climbing gear, designed for young children. There is also a pre-security gallery with kid-friendly art in Terminal 4 on level 3. It’s free and open 24 hours a day.
Terminal 3 is currently undergoing a modernization project. This may result in delays.
