Getting around the airport

Three terminals and five concourses

Salt Lake City International Airport is located 7 km west of downtown Salt Lake City. The airport has three terminals, divided into five concourses.

  • Terminal 1 has Concourses A & B
    Terminal 2 with Concourse C
    International Terminal with Concourses D & E.
    They are arranged in a semi-circle from east to west around the short-term parking garage.
  • Terminals are connected to each other and concourses and gates are easily reached from Level 2 of their respective terminals.
  • Terminal 1 has arrivals, check-in and security screening on the Ground Level, Level 1 houses Concourse A with Gates A1-A9 and Concourse B with upper and lower level departure gates, Level 2 has restaurants, shops, and an elevator to Level 3’s Terrace Restaurant.
  • Terminal 2 has arrivals, check-in and security screening on the Ground Level while Level 2 has restaurants, shops, and services. A connector near Gate C1 leads to Concourse D.
  • The International Terminal’s Ground Level offers check-in and arrivals halls and Level 2 has restaurants, shops, and children’s play area.
  •  Baggage carts are available for USD 5. This can be paid with cash or credit card.
  • Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the airport.

Getting into Salt Lake City

Bus, train or taxi

Taxi

Salt Lake City has maximum rates for ground transportation provides (Uber and Lyft are exempt). The fare limits apply from the airport to destinations in Salt Lake City.The journey takes approximately 15 minutes.

Cost: For 1-2 passengers USD 25 for Zone 1 and USD 30 for Zone 2. Extra passengers are USD 5

Bus

UTA Routes 453 and 454 stop at the airport on the way to downtown Salt Lake City (600 South & State Street) and Route 551 stops at the International Center. Buses run on a schedule and only on weekdays. Each journey takes approximately 30 minutes

Terminal 1, before security, arrivals, south end of the terminal, curbside outside of UTA Welcome Center
Terminal 2, before security, arrivals, curbside adjacent to Baggage Carousel 8
Cost: USD 2.50 one-way, USD 5 roundtrip or USD 6.25 all-day pass

Route 453 – 05:53-08:21 and at 16:14 Mon-Fri 
Route 454 – 07:07 only, Mon-Fri
Route 551 –  16:03-19:03 Mon-Fri

Train

TRAX/light rail Green Line travels between the airport and West Valley TRAX Station. The train runs every 15 minutes on weekdays and every 20 minutes on weekends. Take Green Line 704 for a 30-minute journey to the final stop.

Salt Lake City International Airport offers free Wi-Fi in all areas of the airport. The Wi-Fi access points use the SSID “SLCAirport.wifi". Once you connect to the Wi-Fi, you will be asked to accept terms and conditions for use and then click "CONNECT".
