Getting into Berlin

By train, bus or taxi


Most people travel into the Berlin city centre by train. You'll find the train station outside of the terminal buidling, about 300m away. You can take either the S-Bahn or the Airport Express railway trains. S-Bahn trams run every 10 minutes and serve Berlin city centre (S9) and the southern ring line (S45) to Südkreuz. The Airport Express train (RE 7 / RB 14) runs twice every hour from Berlin city centre to Schönefeld Airport. The journey time from Berlin Hauptbahnhof (main station) is only 30 minutes.


Buses stop at Schönefeld Airport railway station and/or in front of Terminal A. Here you'll find express buses, night buses or bus connections to Berlin's surrounding areas. A single ticket (Einzelfahrschein) from Berlin Schönefeld to Berlin city centre is valid for one person and lasts two hours.

Fares: EUR 2.80 for zones AB and EUR 3.40 for zones ABC


The taxi ranks can be found outside of Terminal A. Please be aware that bogus taxi drivers may be operating outside the airport so make sure to only take cabs marked with a Taxi sign.

Getting around the airport

4 Terminals

Berlin Schönefeld Airport is Berlin's second international airport and is located 18 km southeast of Berlin. The Airport consists of four terminals: A, B, C and D which are connected by a joint concourse after security.

Terminal A: check-in counters A01–A18 and airlines such as Ryanair, Aeroflot and arrivals from EasyJet

Terminal B: exclusively used by EasyJet with check-in counters B20–B29

Terminal C: additional security checkpoints 

Terminal D: check-in counters D40–D57, mainly used by Ryanair, Condor, Germania and Norwegian Air Shuttle.
