Bremen Airport - BRE

Tram

Tram line 6 connects the airport with the University of Bremen via the city centre and Bremen Hauptbahnhof. Trams depart every 10 minutes from a stop located directly in front of the main terminal’s check-in area. Tickets can be purchased from automated vending machines at the tram stop. Tickets are EUR 2.70.

Taxi

Taxis are available in the ground transportation area of the main terminal. All taxis are metered and the total journey time is approximately 10 minutes.

Bus

Bremen Airport is served by local bus line 52 which travels between Huchting and Kattenturm via the airport. Buses depart every 30 minutes in front of the main terminal’s check-in area. Tickets can be purchased from automated vending machines at the bus stop.

Bicycle

There are free bicycle parking spaces directly in front of Terminal 2. The journey takes approx. 15 minutes from the city centre.

Bremen Airport is located 3.5 km south of the city and an 11-minute drive. The airport has one main passenger building split into two terminals.

The terminals and levels are:

Terminal 1: This is the main passenger terminal. On the ground level of this terminal, you'll find information desks, check-in areas, travel agencies, baggage claim, car rental, lost & found office and ATMs as well as shops and restaurants. The first level of the terminal has security check-in areas, gates, prayer room, restaurant, a hair stylist and a duty-free shop. 

Terminal 2: Terminal 2 is located west of the main passenger terminal and currently serves Ryanair. It has a single level with arrivals and departure Gates B01 to B04, a duty-free shop and a restaurant.

Ryanair

The terminal is closed from 00:00 until 03:00. In case your flight is delayed the terminal will remain open. If you have a valid boarding pass, the night guard also offers access into the terminal. Go to the front door of Terminal 1.

Bremen Airport now provides new power stations, located at the Market Café BRE after the security checkpoint.

This restaurant is located within the Atlantic Hotel Airport. Great view on the runways as well as a nice garden in the backyard. International cuisine, nice service. The 'Sky-Lunch menue' offers five different dishes for EUR 7.50-11.50. The 'Allerweltsmenue' at dinner time is a three course menue. American, continental and business breakfast.

The visitors’ terrace is on the roof of Terminal 1 next to the Bremen Hall. Enjoy the unimpeded view onto the runway and flight operations.

Great aviation and aerospace gallery to spend some time. Have a look at the original plane that accomplished the first flight from Europe to North America in 1928: a Junkers W33 Bremen - D1167. Entrance is free.
