Getting around the airport

One main terminal with two concourses

Indianapolis International Airport is located seven miles southwest of downtown Indianapolis. There is one passenger terminal, Colonel Harvey Weir Cook Terminal, with three levels and Concourses A and B.

There is the Arrivals Level with baggage claim and customs for international arrivals on the ground floor, the Pedestrian Bridge Level which leads to ground transportation and parking, and the Departures level with check-in and separate security checkpoints for each concourse.

Getting into Indianapolis

Taxi, bus or shuttle

Taxi

Taxis at the airport charge a minimum of USD 15 charge for all fares regardless of the distance.

Bus

IndyGo’s Route 8 provides non-express, fixed-route service from the airport to downtown via stops along Washington Street. The bus departs every 15 minutes from 07:00-19:00 Monday to Friday, every 30 minutes from 06:00-19:00 and every 70 minutes until midnight on Saturdays and Sundays. Allow 45 minutes travel time.

Shuttle

The Go Green Airport Shuttle is an express shuttle that connects Indianapolis Airport to downtown. Other popular stops include Lucas Oil Stadium, The Convention Center, and The Marriott Complex (JW Marriott). The shuttle operates from 05:00-23:00, every half hour, 7 days a week. Please keep in mind that shuttle drivers don't accept cash as payment and the service strongly recommends booking online.
