Jinnah International Airport - KHI

Jinnah International Airport is approximately 20 kilometres from the city of Karachi.

• The airport is divided into two concourses: the Jinnah East Satellite Concourse for international flights and the Jinnah West Satellite Concourse used for domestic flights.
• The main terminal, known as the Jinnah Terminal has three levels. Level 1 is arrivals with customs and baggage carousels; Level 2 is Departures with security, passport control, and duty free; Level 3 hosts a restaurant, VIP lounge and snack bar.
•  The Jinnah Terminal is connected to the satellite buildings via corridors on each side of Level 2.
• Free baggage trolleys can be found at the Drop Lane to Check-in Counters and Baggage Claim to Pick-up Lane.

Taxi

Taxi services are available directly from the airport and their counter is situated at the landside of the terminal to book the cab. Taxis don’t use meters anymore so negotiate the fare before getting in. The official rate for the taxi is around PKR 7 per kilometer but expect to pay slightly more. For downtown hotels the fare should be no more than PKR 300 (USD 2.90). The journey is around 25 minutes.

Bus

Bus routes UTS 12 and UTS 13 link the airport and the city with an approximate journey time of 50 minutes. Buses can be cramped but offer a cheap option for budget travellers. The fare is PKR 50 (USD 0.50); hours unknown.

CIP Lounge

Air conditioning, refreshments, reading materials, and showers available. Maximum 3 hour stay. Economy passengers can gain entry to the lounge for USD 6 dollars per person for international flights, and USD 2 per person for domestic flights.

United Bank Limited Lounge

Wi-Fi, internet terminals, and light refreshments available in lounges in both domestic and international terminals 

West Satellite Concourse, airside, level 2, departure area
Hours: 16:00-last departure

East Satellite Concourse, airside, level 2, departure area
Hours: 16:00-last departure

There are left luggage services available in the Arrivals area of Jinnah International Airport. The left luggage office remains open 24 hours.

Mobile recharging points are available in the satellite buildings. Exact locations cannot be stated.

Several car rental companies serve Karachi airport. Desks are located on the Arrivals floor. Vehicles will be collected from the covered parking lot across from the terminal.
