The airport has several themed waiting lounges with free access, including the Unforgettable Yummy lounge (Gate C6) that offers complimentary local tea and the Hello Kitty Wonderland (C3) for those with children. The airport offers two free half-day city tours for those on layovers of between seven and 24 hours.
Morning tours depart from Terminal 2 at 08:00 and 13:30, with pick-ups at Terminal 1 15 minutes later. Places are limited to 18 and are on a first-come, first-served basis, with sign-ups at the Tourist Service Centers, located in arrivals at either terminal. The morning tour takes in the Sanxia and Zushi temples plus the Yingge Pottery Museum. Afternoon highlights include Chiang Kai-Shek Memorial Hall and Taipei 101. Guests must have a valid visa or be from a visa-exempt country.
Chair massages including head, neck, shoulders, waist and back can be had at this massage center where treatments are offered by the blind and partially sighted. Located on the 3rd floor of T2, it is open 10:00 - 18:00. Massages start from USD 10.00.
At Terminal 2’s Gate D3, there’s a cultural experience area where guests can learn calligraphy and draw on paper fans and umbrellas. Lessons take around 30 minutes and are free. Guests also receive a free zodiac souvenir card.
