Oslo Gardermoen Airport - OSL

Oslo, Norway (NO)

Getting around the airport

One terminal, three piers

Oslo's Gardermoen Airport is the main airport serving Norway's capital, Oslo. It lies around 50km north-east of the city centre.

There is one long terminal building, split into two piers that connect landside: the East pier serving domestic flights and the West serving international flights.

A third, North pier opened in 2017 and serves domestic as well as international flights, separated by floors.

You'll find Arrivals on Level 0 and Departures on Level 1, and restaurants and shops on both levels.

Getting into town

Train is best

The train may be more expensive than the bus, but it's high speed and will shorten your journey into the city.

The Flytoget Airport Express Train runs every 10 minutes to Oslo S station (Oslo Central Station) from 05:35-11:50, and takes 20 minutes. If you don’t want to queue to buy a ticket, you can just swipe your credit/debit card at the gates to get through.

(To save money, you can also take the NSB regional train from NOK 93. Trains leave every 30 minutes and the journey takes about 23 minutes. A one-way ticket from Oslo Airport to Oslo S Station costs NOK 101)

Cost: NOK 190 one-way; children under 16 are free, special prices for youths and students apply.
Location: Gardermoen Station, below the terminal.
Buying tickets: Swipe your card at the gates.

Several buses are available to reach the Oslo city center and other cities around. The Airport Express Coach (SAS Flybussen) runs between Oslo Airport and Oslo city centre every 20 minutes.

Taxi fares from the airport vary a lot, depending on the time of day and taxi company. Also, the airport is around 50 km out of the city so a taxi ride is bound to be pricey. Always agree on a fare beforehand, or go to the taxi information desk in the Arrivals area of the terminal to find out more about fixed fares. The taxi information desk can also book a taxi for you.

We found 0-Taxi (from NOK 598) to be the cheapest taxi company.

Cost: Around NOK 610 before 17:00, NOK 720 after 17:00.
: the taxi rank is outside the Arrivals area.
