Getting into Hannover

Good public transport available

By train
The public 'S-Bahn', line S5 goes from Hannover central station directly to the airport. Trains run every 30 minutes from 3:35-1:05 and take 18 minutes. A 2-zone ticket costs EUR 3.40. Tickets can be bought at the vending machines at the train station. The station is located underneath Terminal C.

By bus
Bus number 470 runs several times an hour from Langenhagen Zentrum to the airport. The bus stop is located between Maritim Airport Hotel and the multi-story car park 3, next to Terminal C. 

By taxi
The trip to downtown Hannover takes about 20 minutes and costs approximately EUR 28, depending on traffic.
Taxi stands can be found directly in front of the terminal exits on the arrivals level.

Getting around the airport

Three connected terminals

Hannover airport is located 10.3 km north of Hannover, in the town of Langenhagen. The airport consists of three terminal buildings A, B, and C. All buildings are connected by a walkway before security only. 
Departures are on floor 1, arrivals are on the ground floor. Between Terminal A and B is the Airport Plaza where you can find a few shops and restaurants, a hairdresser, a bank, and a lounge on the departures level. The station to the public transport in Terminal C.
