If you have a short layover, with not enough time to get into KL, head for the C-Gates, in Satellite Building A of the KLIA 1 Main Terminal. It only takes 3 minutes to get there by Aerotrain shuttle, and there are far more shops, restaurants and attractions to explore, ranging from Harrods to a natural rainforest.

You can check in to Air Asia flights and print your boarding pass at the hotel itself, as they have web check-in machines and kiosks in the lounge, and it’s less than 10 minutes’ walk to the baggage drop in the airport.

For the most comfortable place to relax between flights in KLIA 1 go to the Rest N Go, by Gate G1, on Floor 5. If these seats are being used, however, then the long, cushioned benches near the entrance on the big window side of Floor 5 are extremely comfortable and offer an amazing view.
