Getting around the airport

Two terminals, two levels

Lanzarote Airport is located 5 km southwest of Arrecife, Lanzarote's capital, and is a popular holiday destination for tourists wishing to see the Canary Islands. The airport consists of two terminals and hosts a wide variety of shops and food options, opened according to flight schedules. The departures area features check-in desks, passport controls and boarding gates on Terminal 1, floor 1 and Terminal 2, ground floor. The arrivals area features several shopping facilities as well as banking services and six baggage claim belts, five in Terminal 1 and one in Terminal 2.

Getting into Lanzarote

Bus or taxi

Bus:

There are several city buses you can take to get from Lanzarote Airport to the city center. Buses can be found on the ground floor of the arrivals area in both Terminal 1 and 2.

Route 22
Route 22 takes you from the airport to the island's capital, Arrecife, in just 10 minutes. Please note that this bus does not run on weekends or public holidays. Frequency is every 25 minutes. 
Cost: EUR 1.40
Working hours: 06:55-22:30 from Arrecife to the airport, 07:00-22:40 from the airport to Arrecife

Route 23
Route 23 takes you from the airport to the island's capital, Arrecife, and to Playa Honda, in just 10 minutes. Please note that this bus runs only on weekends and public holidays. Frequency is every 50 minutes.
Cost: EUR 1.40 for Arrecife-Airport and EUR 1.40 for Playa Honda-Airport
Working hours: 07:00-21:00 to the airport, 07:10-21:10 to Arrecife

Route 161
Route 161 takes you from the airport to Playa Blanca and Puerto del Carmen.
Cost: EUR 3.30 for Playa Blanca-Airport and EUR 1.40 for Puerto del Carmen-Airport
Working hours: to the airport 08:30-22:30 Mon-Fri and 09:00-23:00 Sat-Sun, to Playa Blanca 07:30-22:30 Mon-Fri and 08:00-22:00 Sat-Sun


Taxi
Always take taxis that are waiting directly outside the airport and avoid taxi drivers offering services from other points. The taxi rank can be found on the ground floor of the arrivals area in both Terminal 1 and 2. Minimum fare: EUR 3.15 on weekdays from 06:00-22:00, EUR 3.45 on weekdays, Sundays and holidays from 22:00-06:00
