Getting into Fortaleza

The Fortaleza International Airport is only 8 km from the city center. To get to Fortaleza we recommend the following options:


Bus

If you’re traveling light, Urban air-conditioned buses offer an economical way to travel to and from the airport. Bus 404 ''Aeroporto/Benfica'' links the airport to the city center and Fortaleza main bus station. 

Cost: BRL 8
Location: Main Terminal, basement, urban bus stop
Operating hour: 05:10-22:00 daily

Tip: Bus 027 and Bus 066 offer additional route options to neighboring areas. 


Taxi

Coopertaxi company is the only official taxi service provider in the airport. They run at a fixed rate. 

Cost: BRL 27
Location: Main Terminal, basement
Operating hour: 24 hours daily

Getting around the airport

One terminal, four floors

Pinto Martins–Fortaleza International Airport is the airport serving Fortaleza, Brazil located 11 km south of downtown. It is opened in 1998 and was designed in four floors to operate for the next 50 years. 


- In the basement:
 there is a parking lot with a capacity of one thousand vehicles. 
- First floor: arrivals of regional and international flights also check-in counters, ticket offices, car rentals, tourist information, children´s court and the Civil Aviation Department. 
- Second floor: boarding gates, for both national and international flights plus shops and restaurants. 
- Third floor: here passengers can have a drink with a panoramic view of the airport.
